Corvette Legends Club

Fall Color Tour

October 25,  2008

We had 19 club members and three guests join us for the 2008 Fall Road Tour.

George & Jan hosted a continental breakfast at their home to start the day. After the driver’s meeting 11 Corvettes were on the road just after 9:30am. The first part of the route took us through Superior Twp. along Geddes Rd. into Ann Arbor Twp. A quick run north on Dixboro took us to North Territorial and the familiar route into Gregory our first stop. In Gregory we visited Bramlett Hardware Store – in business since 1894 - where a number of CLC members found and bought just what they were looking for. We also met up with Gregory’s resident alien.

From Gregory we drove to Dansville for the start of our tour through the two lane back roads of Ingham County. Our lunch stop was at the Baja Grille in Mason. No one came away hungry.

After shopping at the gift store attached to the Baja Grille and a stop at Mason’s Antiques Mall it was on the road again as we headed north toward Okemos to continue the road tour. We had a great time running the twists and turns of some more great “Corvette Roads” before heading south on M52 toward Stockbridge where we had a brief stop for a break before winding our way back through Gregory and Unadilla on our way back to North Territorial and the run to Karl’s Cabin for a great dinner.

Thanks to Jim & Sandy Vassallo and George & Jan Peters for setting up the route and stops and to Jim Vassallo for a great job in leading the caravan at a good pace and keeping us all together.

We hope more members can join us for the CLC 2009 Fall Tour.

Thanks to George for the photos and write-up
