Corvette Legends Club Annual Color Tour

George and Jan set up a fabulous color tour that a little rain could not dampen.  We started with a continental breakfast at their home with a little slot car racing thrown in,  then proceeded up some beautiful back roads to Holly.  When we arrived we were greeted by a Holly ambassador who had private parking for us and escorted us to a gift shop for a welcome orientation.  From there we walked down the street to the home of the Detroit Model Railroad Club where we were given a private guided tour of their facility.  Not only did we get the regular tour, we were allowed down into the 'members only' area to see what makes everything work.  Miles of track and wiring with electronic control panels and track diagrams.  These guys literally make everything but the cars from scratch.  It was an amazing thing to see.  After the tour we met up with the girls (who had been already been at the pub for an hour) for a great lunch.  After lunch a little shopping in Holly then on to Fenton for some wine/beer tasting.  The color tour was cut a little short, but that did not stop us as we were all invited back to Renee's place we had pizza and ice cream (not in that order) and watched the Tigers try to lose game 1.

Thanks to George and Jan for hosting the trip.  In George's words "Great to see the great attitudes from an adaptable and fun group of members, guests and prospective members that we had with us ..... -- making the best of a dismal weather day and making our own good times".
